UK REAFFIRMS GIBRALTAR CLAIM AS SPAIN ROW RUMBLES ON

Britain has reaffirmed its claim to Gibraltar as a sovereign territory, as the diplomatic row overSunday's incursion by a Spanish vessel and helicopter continues.
The Foreign Office has accused Spanish police of several incursions into the waters and airspace of the British territory whilst in pursuit of suspected drug smugglers.
Ministers said repeated incursions are "completely unacceptable and unlawful under the international law".

« On ne met pas en doute l'efficacité du gouvernement, les progrès accomplis dans beaucoup de domaines, la vision qu'a le président. Mais pour pérenniser cela, il aurait mieux fallu qu'il se serve de ce qui lui est reconnu pour créer un précédent, quitter le pouvoir et organiser une transition pacifique. » 
 
En entrevue avec Dominique Arnoldi, le professeur Mamoudou Gazibo, du Département de science politique de l'Université de Montréal, commente la décision du Parlement du Rwanda d'approuver une réforme constitutionnelle qui permettrait au président, Paul Kagame, de briguer un troisième mandat. 
 
« Les hommes providentiels ont cette faiblesse; [...] ils ne savent pas profiter de leur moment de force pour créer quelque chose de plus grand qu'eux, qui leur subsiste », illustre le professeur.

UK REAFFIRMS GIBRALTAR CLAIM AS SPAIN ROW RUMBLES ON

Britain has reaffirmed its claim to Gibraltar as a sovereign territory, as the diplomatic row overSunday's incursion by a Spanish vessel and helicopter continues.
The Foreign Office has accused Spanish police of several incursions into the waters and airspace of the British territory whilst in pursuit of suspected drug smugglers.
Ministers said repeated incursions are "completely unacceptable and unlawful under the international law".
