[haguruka.com] TR: {UAH} Ugandans celebrate Kazibwe rejection at African Union

Sir Peter Simon thanks a lot for this:
"I love to see Kikwete meeting the Museveni, Mugabe etc; that is some kind of value we need at Addis Ababa not people known for only shaking beds!"
You are a right supporter of sir Bobby Alcantara who wrote this:
"The AU chair must have the following qualities:
1, Highly Advanced Diplomatic and Negotiating Skills
2. A highly advanced knowledge of the current political climate in Africa, the English-French Divide, Islam-Christian divide, Gender balance etc
3. Tested ability to deal with leaders with huge egos but very little intelligence or common sense.
4. Highly developed administrative and leadership ability to manage an organisation of some 5,000 plus staff and a budget of almost $2 billion
5. A clear Vision of the New Africa we want and a strategy to deliver it.
The Chair above all must be a shining light or beacon of hope for the young generation of Africans, somebody of undoubted eminence and quality, with impeccable credentials and pedigree."

Frank,

You people fail to think faster. There is no doubt that Kazibwe must have been a powerful bed-shaker. Many young people are terrific experts in any game be it athletics, high jump, soccer,  boxing, musicians and  even in the professions. But when they age (grow older) their muscles fail them, even morale goes down. You have seen world champions at their best, Muhammed Ali (Boxing), Franko (Music), Etolu (High jump- Teso, Uganda) but see how they ended at old age? If you did not know them and someone told you that such a person was the star at the time, most likely you refuse to believe because the fellows almost cannot move, then you wonder how it was possible he/she was such a star. And the problem is that these fellow continue talking as though the are still the same stars, they do not accept change of times; that is why you see former generals walking and breathing fire as though they are still that powerful. I saw some of them mending shoes in Mbale streets and others selling chapati in Tororo  but hear them speak and you laugh your head off. That said, let us go back to Kazibwe and beds.

Kazibwe is old now so if you expect her to shake beds now in order to win, forget it. She was good at it those days but not now. Sorry that she missed the position but it is also good that she missed it because I am not sure what value she was going to add to the already weak AU. Her past record does not show that she would help move the body forward. May be the candidature of Kikwete is better at least as he can show by example how it is possible to live outside the presidency. He would be there in another capacity meeting old men that were presidents 20 years before he became president yet they are still stuck there grounding their countries. And he would welcome his replacement (Pombe) most likely sending the Mugabe's and Museveni's to sleep in shame, ie. if they are not already asleep anyway as a result of old age and fatigue.

I love to see Kikwete meeting the Musevenis, Mugabe etc; that is some kind of value we need at Addis Ababa not people known for only shaking beds!

Peter Simon

Bobby !!!
I think she trief to push the beds,
but maybe the offers were rejected because she boasted about the capacity and potential customers feared to drown in it.

Robert Atuhairwe/Lt Col. Tony Owana,

Is this true about Kazibwe's doomed foray into relevancy::

"President Museveni. who gave her Ushs2.5 billion of taxpayers' money
to help her push the bed. This is probably one of the many reasons as
to why her fellow countrymen are celebrating her loss on social media"

So she never "pushed enough beds"?  I thought she had boasted about her ability and capacity in that area? Sad that she would fall on her sword.

Kazibwe was betrayed by her committee. But Ugandans will regret. l
think the potential candidate now is Jakaya Kikwete.
