I am personally upset and I think I am not the only one, to see the president of our country thrown in this state of mind. There were cases of detention and even murder of foreign nationals in Rwanda. But they did not trigger a barrage of angry statements from heads of state/government of their countries. I believe our head of state would be wise to stay away from judicial disputes. And so many Rwandans would certainly welcome a move, by the president, to remove the root cause of the flight of his associates and members of the general population. It is within reach. He has the necessary powers to do it. It would probably require just a paragraph long statement! There is no need to have Rwanda taking on these world powers, Mr. President!
As for our dignity as Rwandans, we cannot defend it merely by talking back and refusing to listen. The best defense would be to have genuine national inter ethnic and intra ethnic  reconciliation, and go to work together, to build our country. Dignity is to be adequately fed, clothed, educated and free. Many of would be leaders are known to have succumbed to incentives of those things not available in the prevailing governance, and sold their dignity to get them! What is the dignity of a parliament, which has not one dissenting voice, or MPs with different views? Just clapping at every witty sentence of the President's speech?
